fettled and ready to go

Spent the afternoon fettling.  Chris’s bike is now ready to be sold (see here for pre-fettled state).  Then Anniemay’s bike buddy Anthea came over to have a new stem and pedals fitted.  She sends a text when she gets home ‘bike much more comfortable’.  Result.  

I take Chris’s bike for a quick spin up the road.  I love my electric bike, but ….. there’s nothing quite like drop handlebars and skinny tires to give you a real buzz.  There was a time when Anniemay and I used to go out for an early morning spin each Christmas Day.


If I get my heart problems sorted out I might just, possibly, maybe, depending on conditions at the time ….. get myself a road bike.  I still have my lycra.
