Together again

This photo was taken in February 1956 (60 years ago), a happy couple with plans for their future life together. They settled in Isleworth, Middlesex and raised their two sons. Six months before their younger one son married (me and hubby), his lifetime partner passed away. Today, after nearly thirty three years of living on his own, pa-in-law took his last breath this afternoon to start his journey to join his beautiful wife.

The past few days, and days to come I'm sure, have been and will be a bit of a blur. But today family surrounded this proud father/grandfather in his last hours; talking about the good times, the funny noises he made, the memories of younger years for his sons and his times with his grandchildren.

Night, night dad, sleep well - "beep, beep, toot, toot".
