Popped down into town after quite a reasonable day at work to see the parade of Olympic and Paralympic medal winners from Yorkshire. Hundreds of people lined the bit of the route I could see, cheering and having a great time.

The parade was led by carnival dancers with fabulously ornate costumes, and there were different dancers and bands between each bus all contributing to the festive atmosphere.

I usually start clear of things like this (not keen on the crowds) but I didn't want to miss such an amazing show of pride and joy.
