Gold
Another beautiful day, a few clouds in the sky, but fluffy ones, not rainy ones.
We had a trip to Dunblane, and a very pleasant walk along the Allanwater, lovely river paths and lots of people out walking which was nice.
Back in the town, we had a nice coffee and scone (as you do) and then had a browse up the high street; some of the shop windows have some nice Olympic displays, featuring among others, their very own Andy Murray.
At the top of the street we came upon Andy's gold post box, with people lining up to be photographed beside it. We headed to the newsagents, as I fancied having a picture of Andy in MY picture. However, we couldn't find one in all the newspapers we looked at.
The gentleman serving in the shop was most interested in our activities, and after a while asked us if we were looking for 'this'. Turned out he had the local paper with a picture of Andy on the front page, gold medal and all. I could have kissed him! It was the last paper too!!! So we bought it and hightailed it back to the golden postbox, where even more people were waiting. I gave the paper to quite a few of them, and eventually it was our turn....... and here is the result. Also took photos of the Head Gardener and I with the post box, but you don't want to see them!!!!
Go large for a good view of Andy and his gold medal!!!!
Hope all of you have a fine sunny day.
