Mono Monday: Week 140 .......
Cultural.
This week is going to be a busy one and I didn't feel like going out specifically to get a MM blip. So Ms. Junior will have to be my cultural blip today. My apologies to our lovely host for the cop out!
The cat is symbolic and worshiped in many cultures. Ancient Egypt comes to mind immediately when I think of cats. Cats were considered sacred in ancient Egyptian society. As a revered animal and one important to Egyptian society and religion, some cats received the same mummification after death as humans. It has also been written that when a cat died, the household would go into mourning as if for a human relative, and would often shave their eyebrows to signify their loss.
Other than converting this to mono this photo is SOOC. It's not even cropped!
