Unusual Railway View of the Olympic Park

The Olympic Stadium at Stratford has brilliant transport connections as the success of travel to the Games has shown.

This is because it is built close to where National Rail Greater Anglia, London Underground Jubilee Line Extension, the Docklands Light Rail and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link with Javelin South Eastern services meet.

Here is a DLR train running beside the National Rail towards one of the Stratford Stations.

Many years ago when I was a civil servant I was in a minor way responsible for ensuring that the JLE (Jubilee Line Extension) and CTRL (Channel Tunnel Rail Link) were retained in Public Expenditure plans.
