Whats going on in the photo?
I went to GameStop a couple weeks ago to buy NBA 2k17 and I thought the bottom of my receipt would be the perfect picture for this assignment! Not only at GameStop but everywhere you shop if you look at the bottom of your receipt you will find them asking you to complete some sort of customer survey. They normally tell you that our feedback is very valuable to them. Thats not what I am focused on, I am focused on which is sort of faded but it says if you complete the survey within a week you could win a $100 giftcard ! (103)

How is it related to a specific psychology concept?
This example of them saying you have a chance to win a $100 giftcard is a example of positive reinforcement. Positive is when you give a person a reward for doing something. People fill out the customer survey and their name gets thrown in to win a $100 gift card. The positive reinforcement is almost the only reason why we do it. In more psychological terms it can be used to mend peoples behavior so they will do the right thing. This is most commonly shown in babies or little kids and even dogs. (92)

Link the image to a psychology perspective?
Positive reinforcement relates to behaviorism. Behaviorism is a psychological perspective that focuses on how you behave due to environmental factors. Positive reinforcement is one of those environmental factors, someone gives you a treat or reward for doing good something good and you keep doing that behavior for the treat . They can mend someones behavior easily by using positive reinforcement. For example say you have a brand new puppy but you also have a brand new carpet. In order to train the puppy to not pee everywhere you can use positive reinforcement and give the dog a treat every time the dog goes to the bathroom outside. The dog will change its behavior in order to get more treats. (120)
