My wonderful wood splitter

I know I have blipped this before but it is one of the garden jobs I just love. Preparing for the winter and the cooler autumn evenings...I love our log splitter! Jack splits a few logs to get us started and makes sure everything is working well. Then off I go, splitting away happily....using lots of our felled or fallen trees and then storing the logs to dry out.

We are not reliant on wood but love to light our stove most evenings. However, at this week we have had such warm weather that it's almost like summer.
