Tarn Hows
After a short meeting with Ali and Lucie in Ambleside this morning we walked up Black Fell to bag another Wainwright.
It was a lovely walk despite the frequent heavy showers and the views from the top were spectacular.
On the way up and down we passed Tarn Hows, always a pretty place.
Amusingly we were told by a schoolteacher that there were otters in the lake but after we had taken a number of "otter" shots without a telephoto I noticed they were actually water lily leaves blowing around in the wind. One of his pupils came to the same conclusion at about the same time so he was left a little embarrassed. There probably are otters but these weren't them!
