Weather vane at Dodford School

We visited the Worcestershire village of Dodford this afternoon. The village was founded in 1849 by members of the Chartist movement, and we went with the expectation of blipping one of the interesting buildings from the Chartist period - perhaps the old Baptist chapel or the school.

In the end I have gone for an image taken at the school. It is not the 1877 building but this much more recent but rather lovely weather vane on the roof.

On the wall below the vane there is a very moving plaque explaining that it is in memory of a young child called Josh who died from illness in 1996.
