Cormorant at Samoreau

Today was a beautiful day, and my morning walk took me to the lake at Samoreau, where I came across this cormorant posing nicely on a rock, showing off the bright yellow at the base of his  beak and and his bright blue eyes in the sunshine.
I'm falling way behind with my blips at present, having been away for a week earlier in the month in Dubrovnik, and then having my sister and nephew to stay - there just never seemed time to blip when I wasn't feeling tired or just didn't feel like it. There's also quite a number of days in between I just didn't take any photographs. Anyway, I shall try and get caught up with those days when I did!
