Ribbon swirls

Many thanks to LesleyAlford for the idea - I've seen and admired these twirl effects and I've finally worked out how to do it, with a bit of help from YouTube.

This is a bit extreme, but I liked the Catherine wheel effect. The extra shows a more subtle effort of the same subject - a rather non-descript and soft focus (ahem!) fuschia.
