Autumn Rainbow

Thankfully the ride in to work is not as challenging as yesterday. The 50mph winds don't seem to have materialised. There are a couple of light showers on the way, but nothing significant.

During the morning a shower passes and a large rainbow takes up most of the view from the office window. It doesn't last long, but I managed to get a couple of shots I can stitch together.

On a walk down to Stockbridge at lunchtime, I notice these Goosanders, extra photo, in the Water of Leith diving under the water. There must be plenty of food here as they are not in a hurry to move on, but getting a shot of them is difficult as they don't resurface in the place where dive down.

On the trip home it is quite apparent that the air is a lot fresher. I am a bit later leaving than usual as I am in Glasgow tomorrow morning and need to meet a deadline. The wind is still present, but no way as bad as yesterday.
