Apparently it's harder on a bigger room.

This evening we had planned on putting coving in our bedroom. Unfortunately we didn't realise how much harder it would be in a bigger room. Stu did the downstairs toilet all on his own on Tuesday but tonight it was as though he had never done it before. We couldn't work out which angles we needed and getting the stuff to stick to wonky walls was a nightmare. We only managed to do half the room tonight, as we were tired and also didn't have enough coving to finish it.
