Leaving Zion

Today was the last day of our official trip to the Canyonlands.  We had a great morning walking in Zion National Park .  Another beautiful place.  This was the view over the Virgin River, close to the exit from the park.  A 100 miles closer to Las Vegas, in the desert, this river disappears to a trickle and then nothing.  The Canyons we have visited have been awesome in their very different ways and I am so glad we got to visit all of the places we have been to over the last few days.

Tonight, I am Blipping in Las Vegas in the most enormous bedroom we have ever stayed in having had a most delicious meal with our fellow group members as we bid each other farewell.  Tomorrow we are branching out on a day trip and hoping for some more good shots.  The weather forecast tells us it going to be 95 degrees fahrenheit tomorrow!
