Grand Union Canal: Aylesbury Arm
The morning started with me dropping C at N's for the Macmillan Coffee morning that N is hosting today & tomorrow. I then went down the town to pay in a cheque using my debit card. When I got there I couldn't remember my PIN despite using it yesterday ! Anyhow one of the girls helped me and offered to get me a new card / new PIN - I said I'm sure it will come to me ...oh dear oh dear ..
Home then to collect the clippings for the tip, which is where I went next. It was busy as always. From there I drove along College Road & had a little wander along the canal. There was a planning notice on the post next to the bridge for another new development...so i must look that up a bit later to see what going on.
Home again for tea & cake. The cakes I baked yesterday came out really well. One of them I have sliced & frozen so i can have a slice when I want one & the other one well ...that's for eating. I made two cakes following the same recipe, but one I used butter & the other I used marg. The butter one is much the best so I've learned my lesson there.
I have just FB messaged Adam my nephew who is 21 today. Adam has the same hereditary disease as me, Haemophilia. To look at him you would never know - he is just an ordinary man with no cares in the world providing he takes his medication. The treatment has changed so much. He has no crippled joints and leads a normal life. By the time i was 21 my elbow was permanently bent & my ankles were so-o painful.......sorry I'm rambling again.
.....its 1130 and I need to get some eggs & milk so I'm off shopping yet again...a quick tidy up & then I'll be off.
I may have to clear out the car later !
Its a sunny but cool morning - rain is forecast later.
Catch you all in a bit ..
