Snow Dogs #5

The weather forecast for today looked awful, so I decided to head into town early this morning while it was sunny.  I caught the bus and got off at the Sea Life Centre and went to find more Snow Dogs.  I walked another 10,000 steps and found 8 of them (up to now I've found 32 out of the 45 dogs, so not many more to go!). 

The top left and middle pictures are the same dog - Bella, but I liked how it's painted daytime on one side and night time on the other (Brighton and Brightoff) so I've added both sides, then there's Disco Dog in the top right hand corner.  Middle row (left to right) is Mod Dog,  Snowman's Nightmare and Koinu Yakuza, and bottom row (left to right) there's Process Pup, Crush Puppy and Horatio - The Bathing Beauty.  I really like Horatio's moustache.

Sadly two of the dogs have already been vandalised with spray paint and Process Pup has been slightly damaged due to a van parking too close. Somebody has now set up a website where people can post photo's of people sitting on them or if they're seen being vandalised and the local newspaper are posting the pictures online to name and shame these people.  It's sad, but I guess it was bound to happen - I just wish people could respect them, particularly when it's in aid of charity.

After my walk, I met Maxine one of the solicitors that I used to work for, for lunch as she couldn't come for a drink the other night and then I caught the bus home.  There was a brief shower but the sun is back out and I'm now going to go and sit in the Palace and read my book.  I think we're in for some heavy rain tomorrow though!
