Happy Anniversary!

Today 12 years ago Mr. Yana1 and I were getting ready to head up to Pitlochry to get married feeling a bit worse for wear after having not one but two bottles of champagne the night before!

By the time we had consumed another bottle of champagne with our lunch we were well and truly enjoying ourselves!

We spent the rest of the day in Pitlochry and went to the theatre in the evening and it was such a memorable day for us both.....

We made the decision to get married with just the two of us primarily out of consideration for Mr. Yana1's girls and had a big family and friends get together after we returned from our honeymoon.  It was a magical day, just the two of us at a hotel we had stayed at for our first ever trip away together, with the head chef and the hotel owner as witnesses!

We had lunch at the Old Armoury Restaurant on the banks of the Tay which seems to have changed hands several times since then but it was a lovely low key affair....

Sadly the hotel owner decided to sell up and the hotel is now a private family home again so we haven't been able to return something we managed for our first couple of anniversaries....

So here's to my lovely hubby on our anniversary.....
