Bite me

A text message from the courier in town to tell me they have a package for me. I called them and was told they would bring it up to Glossa on Monday. Delivery has not been paid for so it will cost me 15.40€ to reclaim my allegedly repaired camera. That is 40 cents more than it cost me to send it by registered post to Japan.

Sony Japan of course didn't want to pay postage so returned it by slow boat wasting 9½ weeks of warranty floating about in the South China Sea. I suppose at this stage I should not be surprised and I should be grateful that Sony Greece has decided not to waste more time.
