'Gertie'

The pincushion - the nearest thing I get to actually owning a live chicken and a reminder of the delightful Bantams I used to have.  Gertie helps with my sewing and as it's  rained for most of today I've  been confined to barracks doing yet more household chores and a bit of mending. 
Hope the weather improves tomorrow, really missing those lovely blue skies we had in France last week.
