Newhailes House

A lovely sunny day for the start of October. As it's been a while since we used our National Trust membership to visit any properties we decided to go to Newhailes House in Musselburgh. As we had an hour to wait before the next available tour slot we had a walk in the grounds and a tea and scone in the stable cafe.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was a pleasant house to wander through. This view is now the back of the house but was originally the front until the family decided they didn't want the locals walking right passed their front door!
