Big John

This is an indulgence. Meet John. 95 years young - was a fireman and dad to my best pal. I have been under his wing and watchful eye for 58 years. I was bridesmaid to his daughter and godmother to his first grandson. He has been a huge part of my life since forever and I love him so much. He looked after my wedding dress for a week- hung in the front of his wardrobe and spooked him when he woke up during the night! Always been such a positive force in my life and sadly he died last night. He has been very ill and in some ways it's a blessing but I will miss him so - goodbye John- a friend and a hero.
