Central Park, Cowdenbeath

The start of the league campaign and a Fife derby against our closest neighbours Cowdenbeath. I can see Dunfermline's East End Park from my house but can drive to Central Park quicker than I can walk to our ground.

We won 4-0, sounds comfortable but the first half was quite tight and we took the lead just before half time whistle.

I lived in Cowdenbeath until I was 7. I remember walking down to Central Park with my friends and at half time, the stewards would open the gates to let fed up fans leave...and would let us come in for free. I used to sit up near the bricks at top right of this photo.
