Autumn web
This morning's conditions of misty autumn sun created the perfect backlighting to photograph moisture-laden spider webs. No sign of spiders though. It's a wonder of nature that a spider has this device that lets it create this amazing proteinaceous silk from the spinnerets in its body to catch its prey. The three extras are a tangled web on heather, on a cotoneaster bush, and on railings.
