Greylags in flight

Another misty morning but the promise of sunshine and blue sky eventually burned through leaving us to enjoy another beautiful day.

The young swan in the extras had got into real difficulties among the rocks.  I don't know how he got there but his feet were almost trapped in the crevices between the rocks.  Eventually after much struggling and wing flapping he lumbered and stumbled his way back to the water ..... an anxious moment or two.

I gave church a miss this morning ..... tut! tut!  It's the Glasgow Half Marathon and the roads, including the motorway, from the south side into the town centre are closed to traffic.  I'm on Communion Duty tonight so will be at the evening service ... by that time the roads will be open again.
