People of Thimphu

A bit of a treat today, after spending the morning resting from my various ailments: walking the streets of Thimphu for a little bit and capturing some of its people (see extras for additionals). 

These four young ladies were wonderful (we exchanged FB info too). They were sweet and explained a bit about the activities of the upcoming Fall Festival for which we'll return at the end of our trip. Otherwise, my usual chatting with people was a bit hampered by the language barrier. But a smile and hand gestures go a long way :)

We'll be on the road between 6-9 hours tomorrow. Australian NGO workers we met today told us it's a hairy road and quite dangerous in places. Oh boy... can't wait...
