Hotel 21c

I had previously been to one other Hotel 21c location in Lexington Kentucky prior to visiting their location in downtown Cincinnati. However, as I learned more information about Hotel 21c I was surprised that they had several locations across the country and had plans to develop more! An opportunity was opened to view art at every hour of the year since the downstairs exhibits never close, however if one were to spend more time at the Hotel they are able to say in rooms above the exhibit. As I have learned from my experiences with contemporary art exhibits, new work is always on circulation within the exhibit. Hotel21c is not different, however all the artwork had been bought and displayed by one singular family. This is extremely interesting in that all the work displayed throughout all of Hotel 21c locations is owned by one family who values the importance of displaying work to the public rather than keeping it in a private collection. When one goes to the Hotel 21c, they should keep in mind this idea that a family has given the opportunity of viewing contemporary art free to the public at every moment of the year.
