Burying Nuts, and on video too!
I typed some text for the video on YouTube so here it is to explain what happened;
Our dog, Bichon Frise called Jonty, started growling because of some movement in the garden. He doesn't normally bother about squirrels but I don't think he could figure out what it was making the movement.
We saw the squirrel as it leapt from the wall down into our garden so I went out the back door and quietly crept around the path until I could see what it was doing. I was very slow and quiet and managed to get this video.
He bit around the conker casing, got the chestnut out and buried it near our bamboo.
So they really do bury their nuts for winter, hope we catch him coming back to dig it back up in a few weeks/months. Hope he remembers where it is!

Apart from that I've cleaned my filthy bike after 4 hours riding in yesterdays rain, painted the sitting room walls and put the first 50/50 matt emulsion on the newly plastered ceiling (plastered on Thursday). the 50/50, in case anyone doesn't know, is 50% paint and 50% water which acts like an undercoat for the thicker, undiluted, paint.
A top coat can go on tonight and we'll see tomorrow if it needs a second top coat. Looks good though, much nicer than the old artex that was on there.
Lee is coming back tomorrow to do the dining room so all furniture has to go into the sitting room tonight.
