Bridge No 9 - Shropshire Union Canal

Back home after a couple of days in the Lakes, It is such a rejuvenating experience to spend time there, made even more special this time by seeing Rainie and JohnGravett.

We went out for a walk in glorious autumnal weather today.  Starting by walking along the avenue at Chillington.  We soon realised it was a lot cooler under the tree cover the avenue provided so we were keen to break out into the sunshine.  We therefore headed along the canal, initially in deep cutting, and this was just before we walked into the sunshine.

I must offer a great big thank you for the responses to the last three days journal entries.  The Lake district is certainly inspiring for me and I was also very lucky with the conditions.  I've added a Flickr Album for the first afternoon and will try to get the other two days on as soon as I can.
