Alma slumbers
Having spent the week sleeping in the bush on the shore of Lake Huron, I was totally connected to the awesome beauty and power of nature. Arriving back in Waterloo I saw these compartmentalized storm cells lighting up the sky to the northeast, and couldn't resist grabbing my camera and jumping in the car. I chased this one from Waterloo to St Jacob's, to Elmira, to Drayton, to Alma where I shot this exposure, and then chased on to Belwood where I called it a night. I finally got the combination of passing cars and lightning that I was looking for. Really savouring the remaining warm night weather for these shoots. It's magic.
