MonoMonday #MM141 ROOTS

Welcome to MonoMonday October. The theme for today is ROOTS as I am back to mine (Australia) for three weeks. However, this is the first of an exciting theme thread throughout October : FILM NOIR. What could be more appropriate for a monochromatic challenge? 
Today's photo was taken of a still from the  movie/mini series ROOTS aired in 1977. Although it was not of the Film Noir genre, it was a black drama and I have given the photo a noir treatment. 
I hope you enjoy the theme this month which has many blip possibilities.
