Shade Umbrellas

We walked to Brenda and Larry's for dinner tonight. Along the way I snapped a few pictures of these pretty umbrellas. Turns out this is where Diane lives; she spied me standing there and came out to say hi. The umbrellas are carefully placed to protect her hostas from the summer sun. They look so ornamental, you wouldn't think they were functional, too.
