Greenshank

Pretty clear why it is called this! It was standing quietly on an island just off the sandy beach at Laggan. I've never stopped here before and there was no reason to drive past today. It was beautiful, sunny, warm and people free. Was just wandering along, when the Greenshank gave its loud alarm call. Had it stayed quiet, I may not have seen it? Glad I did! In the pine wood a squirrel was talon tap dancing with a huge cone in his mouth. To crown it all a Hawker zoomed across the marshy field.
