Mirror canal.
It was misty and quite cold this morning which didn't bode too well for our Monday walk. Whilst waiting for the others the sun was starting to make itself known through the clouds and by the time we arrived in Silsden there was more blue sky than cloud.
The walk was 'Around Silsden reservoir' which was a bit of a misnomer as we didn't see the reservoir until nearing the end of the walk. (Extra) It started along the Leeds Liverpool canal where the calm conditions which brought the mist provided excellent reflections. Soon the sky was blue with wispy clouds and it made for a lovely walk with great views except we got lost - twice which was a bit frustrating.
We finished up in Bingley at the Brown Cow, recently refurbished again (only reopened last October to be hit by the Boxing Day floods) for very nice refreshments.
I'm going to watch the village players tonight. It's the technical rehearsal but I won't be here for the performances (or I would have been in it) I've heard lots of reports whilst out walking so it will be very interesting to see it. It is loosely based on a Werewolf in London but this one is in Yorkshire and is called Barghest which is meant to be a ghostly Yorkshire dog.
