MonoMonday:Roots
The roots of these trees on the grand avenue in the grounds of Montacute House must go back (or down!) a few hundred years: the house itself dates back to about 1598 when it was built by Sir Edward Phelips and the family itself has had its roots in the Montacute area from at least 1460 when they were Yeoman farmers
We'd gone down for a stroll this morning and lunch in the NT cafe, a spot of shopping in Yeovil and then a visit to the hospital to have my pimped-up hearing aids fitted - how many signs of old age are there in that list? :)
Keep Fat tonight, so will catch up tomorrow
