Talbot Rice Gallery
The Talbot Rice Gallery is part of the University of Edinburgh. The University has around 200,000 artefacts, some of which are recurrently used in the Talbot Rice Gallery. The grass courtyard is often home to some larger exhibits - last year it was home to the miniature Kelpie statues which looked stunning lit up with these fantastic buildings as a backdrop (see extra photos). Sometimes if you are lucky enough, you can hear some singers practising in the coved corners of this courtyard which give the most amazing amplification of their voices. This space is open to the public - it's located just along the road from the Festival Theatre on Nicholson Street.
