This Old House

Across Pla de Martis and down towards the old dam lie a number of intriguing properties. Seemingly abandoned and never showing any sign of life, this is one of my favourites.

Maybe it is the honey coloured stone and blue shutters that make it so appealing, but I think actually it is the way it sort of sits down, in a lazy contented way, happy to be where it is and pleased with itself. It seems so at one with the surrounding farmland, self sufficient and just sort of right. It must also back onto the river and that is a bonus too.

One day i will go to the town hall and make enquiries as to the owner, if we were to sell Can Patrona, our current house, then it might be an attractive next project. Can you hear the moans already?
