A new model project takes shape: an Airfix 1/72nd scale Messerschmitt Bf109G.

Designed to counter the emergence of the Spitfire Mk.IX and the P-51D Mustang, the Bf109G was designed around an uprated Daimler-Benz engine and after mid-1942 this type became the most widely used variant of the Luftwaffe's most famous fighter.
