Balloon, KM & ISS

I spent the morning at the KM Charity Forum, largely just talking to people for an hour or so, sitting chatting with my accompanying colleagues for a couple more hours before my 20 minute presentation slot. It was an early start and the balloon had just taken off from the hotel grounds as I arrived. I had a flight in that very balloon about 5 years ago, my second balloon flight and I have to say the first was the best. Not just because it was my first time, but it was only a 3 man basket whereas the Virginn balloon is a 12 man. We travelled a fair few miles that first time, landing in a farming field, and then travelling back to the castle in a vintage Bentley.

I didn't go into work once we had finished, preferring an early night, only to sit square wheeled on the motorway for a lost half an hour. Mr L not so well today, so I did some shopping, then walked Dog on the beach. He went mad running through all the mud flats as well as the sand, so that I had to hose him down when we got home.

Finished a good day on a beautiful, clear, starry night with a fabulous bright pass of the ISS.
