Season Start

Today was all about rugby specifically Falmouth Rugby Club.
Joshua and the Under 16's kicked off their first match at 1100 on the Channel 4 pitch.
Hayle RFC, not to everybody's taste, the club ethos seems to be "win at all costs" so the 'occasional' stamp by a Hayle player on a prone Falmouth player seemed gradually to be accepted!!
Back to the clubhouse for eats and the second half of the Colts match, a Falmouth win against Bude, before the main event.
A lunch consisting of my first ever deep fried Mars bar precede Falmouth v Penryn, the local derby, normally a real feisty affair and we were not disappointed. Falmouth ran out winners in a hard fought match, 13-10 and we made our way home.
A superb dinner of stuffed mushrooms, followed by paella with blackberry crumble and custard for dessert prepared by friends Ben and Carolyn, all washed down with a couple beers rounded off a superb day.
