'Fortune favours the Brave'

Mr U&L and I went to Shoreham this afternoon, for a quick walk beside the seaside. As usual I got distracted by the European wall lizards Podarcis muralis, that bask on the walls of Old Fort where we park. Sadly they were all rather skitty (possibly due to the very noisy children running around everywhere) and I had a real problem getting close enough to get any shots at all before they disappeared at speed into  cracks in the brickwork. Except this one, a tiny male (I think) who was just about to scurry off when he saw a Crane fly land on the wall and just couldn't resist an easy meal! Win, win I say he got his meal, and I got my shot!
