Inner West Light Rail

Sydney is being dug up for light rail and freeways.
Many heritage buildings and mature trees are being sacrificed.
One light rail that required very little demolition is the Inner West line, from Dulwich Hill to Central.

It runs on a disused goods line, and this is the view from the flat in Leichhardt.
Initially I was a bit concerned that it might be noisy or intrusive, but that's proved not to be the case.
In fact, it's so quiet it's tricky to photograph, as I it's passed before I can focus.
Normally we can't see it, but the embankment was cleared last week, and we'll have a view of it for six moths or so, until the vegetation regrows.
I love it.
