Minding the Flumlet while his parents were engaged elsewhere we took the opportunity to meet our American friends again as they sailed through the Falkirk Wheel, something we have yet to experience.
However, the Flumlet was not happy on board, so after passing through the first lock he and I disembarked, buggied back through the tunnel to watch them (and the popular tourist boat) emerge and enter the top of the wheel, then raced down to watch them rotate and emerge into the canal basin (extra photo). After a brief chat as they took on water they proceeded towards the Kelpies (15 locks and a journey of approx. 4 hours) and we headed home. However much the Flumlet disliked the boat, he had plenty to say to his Mummy afterwards about all he had seen that day.
