Let me out!

When I first spotted these little fellas they were all lined up neatly behind the grille. The water disappears off behind there so I hope none fell down and got washed away.

Isn't it the wrong time of year for ducklings this small - or is the world just confused?

I'm a bit concerned for this family who live by the same lake - there were 3 cygnets, but this morning I could only see 2.
