Life, not as we see it.

By GOT

The answer to my prayers . . Well some of them.

Every time I go abroad I return with a strong desire to purchase a motorbike or scooter.   I have a history with them and at 70 I should perhaps desist.   Having holidayed recently in Javea, where, at least at this time of year the visitors are of an age, there was much evidence of electric bikes, to which I have now subscribed.  EXCELLENT alternative to cars and busses, and to wholly pedal power.   Those of you who know Edinburgh will appreciate that there are a lot of hills, and as I live at the top of one of them, my pure cycling days were numbered.  Not anymore!!!

Extras today are of a wee beastie found lurking in our house, presumably having stowed away in our clothing or luggage.  He / she seems to be feeling the cold as there is little movement to be seen, except when stimulated by a poke in the ribs.
Now discovered this is a Hawthorn Shield Bug, often found in Giffnock, Glasgow.  This one must have come through to Edinburgh for some culture ! ! !
