Spirals

Today I visited the Crawick Multiverse near Sanquhar which was designed by the landscape architect and designer Charles Jenks, he is also the co founder of the Maggie's Cancer Care Centres.  I chose this photograph because I think it gives you an idea of the scale of the place, I didn't realise it was quite so big and that you could climb so high up.  It's built on the site of an  open cast coal mine and there are still a couple of slag heaps out of shot to the right.  I have left the leaflet which explains everything in the car, but the boulders in the picture were left over from the coal mine and hundreds of them have been re used for this installation.
