Great evening with the good people of Witham Deanery for their Synod meeting. We met at St Andrew's Fingringhoe, an ancient church with a host of wooden head carvings of past clergy, wives & local great & good peering down from the roof, keeping an eye on proceedings. A full church, enthusiastic participation & some great ideas. I saw this little note alongside one of the ancient wall plaques ...... and it made me smile!
