Asters in autumn
These periwinkle coloured asters are delightfully spreading each year throughout the garden. When many other bee loving flowers are gone the asters make an appearance.
Also an all new hive of nasty grown bees have made their appearance in the willow hedge. I was just ready to work on it this evening when I discovered them.
It is possible to pour a dish liquid down into their hole to smother them but I fear to kill the willows at the same time. I will have to think about this and carefully study the situation from a safe distance...
I got to spend about half an hour outside on my scooter while taking this photo and enjoying the soft evening air. As long as I do not walk I am fine.
