Happy 8th Birthday Alex!

Today was Alex's 8th birthday, first touchdown and first Spartan Peewee win.  Not at bad way to start the year!  Sticking with traditions, we woke Alex up (bright and early) with cake and presents.  Alex was completely surprised and excited to get his first iPod Touch.  Next, Alex played the game of his career, scoring his first touchdown ever (40 yrds), running in an extra point, rushing a total of 95 yrds for the game, causing one fumble and playing the entire game (offense, defense, and special teams) making at least 3 critical tackles.  After the game we took Uncle Nacho (visiting from San Diego), and Alex's best friend, Eli, up to Bellingham for a little exploration at Teddy Bear Cove, bowling at 20th Century, dinner at Asland and ice cream at Big Scoop.  Topped the night off with Eli sleeping over.  I would guess Alex would claim this was his best birthday ever.
