Breaking Camp

I camped out last night, primarily to check all my kit's in order and the bike is up to it in advance of a bigger trip in a couple of weeks. Everything was good, including the midge head-net which was essential! There were a few early biters this morning but I was mostly able to take my time and enjoy a cup of tea and a bacon roll in the sunshine. A lovely experience.

It's always a bit of a let-down when it's time to go, and suddenly your wee home isn't there. On the other hand, I take pride in not leaving a trace. Tread lightly...

Big Break.

It was great to be out on such a clear night and I backblipped a starry night sky over East Lothian.

Now for a slow day with time for a pint and a chat with Joe.
